Hand Tree : Wearable Air Purifier to Filter Your Own Clean Air 

   There is no way to control the quality of your air when you are walking around in the city or working in offices or near machines. But air pollution is so bad for our health that there has to be a way to improve our immediate surroundings.
    A portable and wearable air purifier is called "Hand Tree" a wrist-mounted air freshener by Russian designer and Electrolux Design Lab. It delivers fresh air to our nostrils. It cleans the air and even converts Carbon Dioxide into Oxygen, much like... well, a tree. The fittingly named "Hand Tree," developed by Russian design student Alexandr Kostin, is worn on the wrist like a watch and removes dust, smoke and contaminants from the surrounding air While certainly a must have for smog-choked urbanites, the mini wearable air purifier won't be available for purchase anytime soon, the gadget is still in the visual stage of development.

     Russia-based design student Alexander Kostin feels that the rapid development and growth of cities increasingly pollutes our planet and the atmosphere, leading to breathing problems in the population.
    Taking inspiration from plants, Kostin designed the 'Hand Tree', a wearable wrist device that filter and purifies the air in its immediate surroundings. Designed for the Electrolux Design Lab competition, the concept device would have two modes : 'Global' and 'Local'.
     Enter the personal air filter like the Hand Tree by Alexandr Kostin. The wearable bracelet filter takes in smoke, pollution, dust and other harmful gases and breathes out cleaner air. It sucks in dirty CO2 through a small filter and pumps out Oxygen as required. A touchpad controls the discharge and changes from green to red to warn of heightened pollution levels.

This concept is just one part of other appealing wearable accessories; this technology can be incorporated in a series of pendants, belts, bracelets, and many more. There are 2 modes in this system: automatic and manual. When user switches to automatic mode, Hand Tree would  constantly monitor its environment and it will automatically activate the purification process once it detects high level of polluted air.
     Hand Tree kit comes with charging kit, user can charge the battery of this device wirelessly thanks to the technology of Qi. The body material is made from eco plastic Biograde and meets all federal health standards. The color changes in the body indicates the pollution level, the battery power is displayed on the screen and menu. User can configure how this device works from the menu, simple and easy to understand.
