      Good news for all those who have been wishing for compatible Pendrives for Smartphones and Tablets. Sony has launched the world's first-ever Pendrives for Smartphones and Tablets. Sony 2-in 1 USB Pendrive works for both Smartphones and Tablets. It is compatible with Smartphones and Tablets. The new flash drives are "2-in-1 devices" with both USB 2.0 and microUSB connectors, allowing buyers to use them in laptops and desktops as well as Smartphones and Tablets.
     The company director said that new Pendrive is a perfect portable storage device, in performance and features along with multi-tasking.
This Pendrive can be used with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean operating system and offer USB on-the-go (OTG) functionality. Sony says that it is working on making them compatible with Android4.4 (Kitkat), the latest version of Google's mobile operating system. For desktops, it works with both Windows and Mac operating systems. These drives have connectors placed on either sides, and are available in three colors which are white, black and blue.
     These devices can also be used as temporary storage spaces in Tablets and Smartphones, apart from regular content sharing and transfer. Shielded in a metal body, the pen drives are powerful enough to handle everyday mobile usage.
     The dual USB Pendrive will be available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB options, priced at $19.99 (approx. Rs 1,232) for 8GB, $29.99 (approx. Rs 1,849) for 16GB and $62.99 (approx. Rs 3,884) for 32GB capacities.
      Sony 2 in 1 USB Pendrive features great metallic design with 3 different colours-White, Purple and Black, the usual Sony colours that features in their phones also. Sony claims that the Sony 2 in 1 USB Pendrive's connectors will be protected by their caps from damage, dust and debris and the metallic body of the Pendrive is durable enough to withstand everyday mobile use.
       No need to attach additional cards/cable. You can use the normal USB to connect to PC or use the micro USB to connect with Smartphones and Tablets. Once connected the drive will be auto detected there is no need to install any software. The USB port is open where are the micro USB port comes with a cap (with lock function). There is a LED indicator too.
