Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch

Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch :

Samsung has launched its first wearable Smart Watch, the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch in India for Rs.22,990. The Gear is certainly an attractive device, a clever mix of metal and rubber that gives it a really solid feel.
Your phone is way big and unwieldy - what you need is a smaller second screen to let you know what's going on with ease. At least, that's what Samsung reckons. Its new Galaxy Gear Smartwatch lets you take calls, send texts, and perform various other tasks from your wrist without touching your phone.
The Gear, you'll find a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with thrifty 320 x 320 resolution, a single core 800MHz Exynos processor. The watch metal frame and straps in six colours. It can work as fashion accessory, at least for men. It is on large side, with 1.6-in screen matching Sony's.
The clasp is strong, so the fit is generally snug enough, although it can get a little tight over the course of the day - but that's an issue most watches struggle with. The problem there is that you can not change the strap on the Gear as it has inbuilt camera inside - so best make sure it's a decent fit before purpose.

Samsung Galaxy Gear features :
The Gear gives you full texts, but that's about it. Get a Facebook or Gmail notification. You have to return to the phone to read the message. The watch is supposed to minify the need to pull out your phone, but not if you keep getting notifications urging you to check.
The Gear has no SIM card or data connection of its own. Instead of it links to your phone over Blutooth, acting more as an external display so you don't have to fish you phone out every time it rings. There is only one button on the outside, which is the power/function key. A tap of this will turn the device on, but a long press or double tap will also make the Gear perform other tasks, which you can choose yourself.
Also important will be the Galaxy Gear's battery life. It does use the Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy standard to communicate, but at 315mAH its battery is decided small.
The camera built into the Galaxy Gear produces surprisingly decent pictures and there are 4GB  of onbord storage to stash them on if you're away from your smartphone.
