According to Harley-Davidson, the Street series of motorcycles have been developed after a lot of customer feedback - more than 1,600 prospective customer interactions, to be precise.
The Street series 500 and 750 is powered by a new Revolution X range of (494 cc and 749 cc) V-Twin engines....The Revolution X range of engines, while retaining the traditional V-Twin layout of Harley, pack in fuel injection, a 4valve head and most importantly, liquid cooling. The liquid cooling will allow greater longevity for the engine and more consistent performance. Engine size aside, all other specification are the same between the two models: a six-speed transmission, 2-into-1 exhausting, disc brakes, 2 passenger comfortable seat, etc...
The motorcycles get 6-speed manual gearbox that convey torque to the rear wheel by means of a belt drive. To endow the Street 500 and 750 solidity, the motorcycles come with all-metal construction. Using a boat load of metal on the new Harleys has resulted in these motorcycles weighing a portly 480 pounds/218 kilograms on the kerb. The Street 500 and 750 will also come with a host of customization options.
Both bikes are said to weigh 480 pounds with the 3.5-gallon tank full. Wheels are 17 inches in front and 15 in the rear, with 100- and 140- series tires respectively. The engine is made to fit perfectly with the Indian climatic changes.
