The Mega series is designed for those who simply want a humongous screen and don't care as much about pixels, yes not vidiots, most definitely.
With looks almost identical to the Galaxy S, the Mega too has flat edges and a very similar finish. The phablet sports a dual core Cortex-A15 processor running at 1.4 GHz and is based on the Broadcom SoC, packing in plenty of oomph. The internal storage is 8GB and can be expanded to 64 GB. The device includes an 8-megapixel snapper accompanied with 1.9 megapixel front facing camera for video calling along with an LED flash that manages above average outdoor shots. Colours are well balanced and so are the brightness and contrast levels. The 5.8-inch, standard TFT panel has decent viewing angles although you do notice a minor change in the colour shades at extreme angles. Videos on the Mega play flawlessly without any jitter. The Mega is a dual SIM smartphone and needs micro SIM modules instead of the regular mini SIMs. No dearth of network support for Mega either; there is 3G, Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS and USB. Phew!
The 2600mAh battery powering the Mega is sufficient to last you through a working day. You shouldn't run out of juice for a good 12 to 15 hours, depending on your usage of course.
