Mahindra Centuro

Mahindra Centuro :

Mahindra Two Wheelers team introduced "Mahindra Centuro 110 CC" with few amazing new features. A few features have been introduced for the first time by Mahindra Two Wheelers.. The R&D Team has taken a lot of effort to bring out this bike, and it seems like the company is now ready to join the big league in the mass segment  market.
It has new engine, MCi-5(Micro Chip ignited-5 Curve) developed in house by the R&D Team, the bike has both power and economy modes. The Centuro delivers 8.5bhp@7500rpm and 8.5Nm of peak torque @ 5500rpm. There are a couple of other new features added to the Centuro, which are new to bike markets in India. A remote 96-bit encrypted flip key (looks like a car key) has a variety of functions. It has 'find me' lamps that help you to locate your bike with a beep sound in the parking lot, and the torch in the key shows you the way in the dark. The bike has been protected against theft by a central locking anti-theft system with engine immobiliser. The digital console (programmed to guide you) the service due date, and distance-to-empty fuel calculator are all new features. The gold bars fitted under the fuel tank are an added attraction to the bike. Bright LED tail and pilot lamps are visible in almost all weather conditions. The seat length is 800mm, and the Centuro's ground clearance has been increased to 173mm.
As per ARAI figures, the Centuro's fuel efficiency is 85.4kpl. Performance from the small-capacity engine is expectedly timid, but power in the mid-range feels adequate. However, the Centuro engine is on the noisier side and overall refinement is still not as good as Japanese rivals. The shifts on the four-speed, all-up gearbox though are largely smooth, while the clutch is light and comfortable to use in crawling traffic. The Centuro deploys a twin downtube frame with suspension comprising front telescopic forks and adjustable rear shocks.
Mahindra Two Wheelers have innovated to grab their share in the mass commuter 110cc segment. With a dealership network crossing 400 plus. If it is priced competitively, the Centuro will create a huge opportunity for Mahindra in the motorcycle market.
